Day 1
Trip to the picturesque gorge of the West Morava – Ovcar-Kablar Gorge, known as the Serbian Holly Mountain and Serbian Mt Athos after the famous monasteries of Greece, visiting two of the monasteries.
Visit to the village of Zlakusa, known for the old pottery craft.
Visit to the open air museum Old Village Sirogojno covering nearly 5 hectares with the display of traditional wooden buildings in authentic form and elements of ordinary life collected from all over the Zlatibor region from the 19th century and a visit to the unique Knitters Museum dedicated to the traditional clothing of the region, known as ‘Sirogojno style’.
Visit to Stopića Cave.
Lunch in the wooden ethno village Sirogojno (optional, payment on the spot).
Overnight stay at a hotel at Zlatibor Mt.Day 2
Morning trip to the National Park Šargan-Mokra Gora and a ride by Šargan’s Eight Train down the narrow-gauge heritage railway of 15,5 km formed in the figure 8, passing 22 tunnels over five bridges and with the altitude difference of 300 meters.
Excursion to the village of Drvengrad (Woodtown) on the hill Mećavnik. Drvengrad is traditionally reconstructed village made out of wood, built as an ethno tourist complex by the famous Serbian film director Emir Kusturica.
